Applications for the Committee’s consideration:-The following applications were submitted for the Committee’s consideration:

No 90281 – Hawkslease, Chapel Lane
Two storey extension to south and west of existing headquarters building with office and meeting room accommodation

RESOLVED:  To recommend that permission be granted as the proposals do not detract from the character of the National Park, overlook agricultural land and are a sensible addition.  There has been full neighbour consultation with no objections to the proposals.

No 90369 – 109 The Meadows
Garage

RESOLVED:  To recommend refusal as the land was originally an open space and there would be no advantage to allowing the proposals.  There would be a loss of trees and the garage would impinge on other properties.

No 90370 – English Nature, 1 Southampton Road
Continued siting of portacabin for office use (Renewal of Temporary Planning Permission)

RESOLVED:  To recommend that permission be granted but to draw attention to the fact that the Parish Council hope this facility will no longer be necessary when current reorganisation has taken place.

No 90395 – Forest Lodge Hotel, Pikes Hill
Single storey extensions to existing hotel and minor internal alterations

RESOLVED:  To recommend that permission be granted as the proposals would enhance the existing entrance and are appropriate to the existing building.  There would appear to be no adverse impact on the area.

No 90472 – The Crown Hotel, High Street
Removal of existing oil tanks and outbuilding and the construction of new boiler house

RESOLVED:  To recommend that permission be granted as the proposals are not in the public view and in any case will be an improvement on the present arrangement.  They are also deemed necessary for health and safety reasons.

No 90473 – The Crown Hotel, High Street

Application for listed building or conservation area consent
Removal of existing oil tanks and outbuilding and the construction of new boiler house.  Existing internal boiler house no longer adequate, new external boiler house required.

RESOLVED:  To recommend that permission be granted as the proposals are not in the public view and in any case will be an improvement on the present arrangement.  They are also deemed necessary for health and safety reasons.
