RESOLVED: To recommend that permission be granted. The proposals will enhance existing facilities, have no detrimental effect on the street scene and will provide a safer route for school children walking to school.

Concerns were expressed regarding the possible effects of change of character in the Conservation Area, the need to maintain existing businesses and an increase in traffic, particularly pedestrian, on a narrow stretch of pavement.
