Lyndhurst Parish Plan - A vision for the future

Nearly 80 people came to the meeting on Thursday 10 May to find out about making a Parish Plan.

Penny Velander (NFDC) and Anne Harrison (HCC) outlined two different ways of approaching this together with some of the issues and benefits to residents, traders and businesses.

A question and answer session brought out many areas of interest. A show of hands confirmed that almost all thought a Parish Plan would be good for Lyndhurst.

It will give us a really detailed picture covering every important aspect, to help us plan an exciting vision and action plan for what we would like to see happen to Lyndhurst, Emery Down and Bank in the next five to ten years.

To get this under way and to ensure it reflects the views of the whole community we need about 20 people with a range of interests and from a variety of backgrounds to form an independent steering group.

We really need representatives from people living and/or working in the whole parish – not just Lyndhurst, but Bank, Emery Down, Clayhill and Gritnam too.

We also need people of all ages – the young, the more mature and those with more experience of life.

A meeting has therefore been arranged for Thursday, 7 June at the Baptist Church Hall, Chapel Lane at 7.30 pm.

If you are interested and want to know what you, or any organization you might represent, can do just come to the meeting where you will be made very welcome.
