Hello,

Just one burglary on this occasion, and for this flat, the occupant had not been there for several months.

The non dwelling burglaries are fairly mixed as are the two vehicle crimes.

A walk in theft at the Boltons Bench cricket club where several wallets etc were stolen by a sneak thief. It just shows you must always keep your valuables locked away (and not in a car).

A couple of cases of cannabis found by Police during searches, In both cases quantity was small.

An unusual case of a streaking male backpacker near the cemetery at Bolton’s Bench. Either this is an unfortunate camper who has had his clothes stolen or someone who has simply forgotten to dress that day.

Either way the forest mosquitos would have enjoyed this opportunity of a few more square feet of skin to bite than usual and my guess is that he now has more than his allocated couple of lumps in his lower waist area.

As mentioned previously, some Lyndhurst pubs etc are applying for extended hours (generally up to 0100) but will not use these extended hours regularly.
Clearly we will be keeping an eye on these premises for any problems. No one wants to have to put up with rowdy behaviour, and certainly not at 0100 onwards.

As I understand it, the public will have more rights to object to licensed premises extended hours and if you feel strongly about any of them it may be worth contacting the local council who will be in charge of licensing matters from later this year (they will be taking over control from the Police).

I am running a Police Surgery / drop in at the Community Centre roughly once a month and each date will be advertised on the outside notice board of the Community Centre and would be happy to see you for any queries etc.
