Me again,

Happily still no dwelling burglaries reported.

Two shed burglaries, both of which were fairly minor with nothing stolen from one and some food and utensils from another at the allotments in Pikes Hill.

Someone did make an apparent attempt to burgle a High Street pub on 25th Oct but made off when disturbed. Nil stolen.

No reported vehicle thefts/crimes in the area – this must be the first time in ages that none have been attacked somewhere in the village.

Three assaults, one on a Policeman who was assisting on an immigration investigation, with the others being domestic and neighbour dispute related.

The most visible and annoying problem that the village has, is the graffiti that has appeared between the 28th and 29th October.

In the remote chance that you have not seen it – it is centred on the one way system- Shrubbs Hill Road and the High Street.

It consists of black and white scribble and to the best of my knowledge, this is not something we have had for some considerable time.

My guess is that it is not a local, and was some travelling youngster who felt the need to spray, pavements, walls, fences, signs and walls. If by chance anyone does know who has done this please let me know.

Does anyone else think a set of stocks for the village would be a good investment.

Think about it, no paperwork for me, rapid justice and a good trade for the local greengrocer who we could buy from to throw stuff at the offenders.

The government is talking about community punishments, what better than a set of stocks!

I am running a Police Surgery / drop in at the Community Centre roughly once a month and each date will be advertised on the outside notice board of the Community Centre and would be happy to see you for any queries etc.
