Me again,

No dwelling burglaries reported, or assaults.

Two shed burglaries (both had been locked) and a commercial garage broken into, and as you may know- for the latter – a local male has been arrested for this and other matters and this investigation is ongoing.

On the vehicle crime front, 7 were reported which is fairly high. You will see that three of the crimes were committed on the 12th September and were likely to have been done by the same person. It seems unusual to steal jackets from cars but I suppose some people will nick anything.

I can understand someone stealing the petrol can from the back of a van in Church Lane. At £1 a litre and rising, I will soon be doing the same.

You may see in the local press a story about a high value jewellery theft at one of Lyndhurst’s antique shop.

This was a case of someone forcing a glass display cabinet whilst the staff were occupied and taking a large amount of gold antique jewellery.

Looking at this positively, there were a number of fingerprints found and good pictures of the suspect available on CCTV. Stills of this have been sent to the press.

I am running a Police Surgery / drop in at the Community Centre roughly once a month and each date will be advertised on the outside notice board of the Community Centre and would be happy to see you for any queries etc.
