February has seen an increase in outbuildings being broken into. Power Tools and Garden equipment are what they are after. These can be sold on easily.
Also it is apparent that people who leave their handbags etc in the boot of their car believing it is secure and out of sight could have been watched.
As there has been numerous incidents of handbags being stolen from motor vehicles. It isn’t safe to leave any valuable property in the car.
Car Parks in isolated area’s with quick access to main roads are the favourite locations.
Rowdy Behaviour
Nothing to report.
Burglary
Burglary /non dwelling. A workshop in Sandy Lane Lyndhurst was broken into and power tools were stolen. A garage was broken into in Foxhills Ashurst and 3x motor cross bikes along with tools were stolen.
Burglary dwelling.
Two public houses were entered and had the contents of their safes taken.
Persons entered a house by an insecure back door and small value items taken. This was in Ashurst.
In Netley Marsh youths knocked at the door of an elderly occupier stating they were looking for their cat.
Once inside they stole cash. People who pray on the elderly and vulnerable are the lowest of the low.
Damage
Woodlands Rd Community Hall Netley Marsh had facia boards ripped of the side of the building.
Assault
The only assault to report was as a result of a road rage incident . Witnessed by a member of the public but neither party reported it to the Police
Theft from a Motor Vehicle
At Boltons Bench in Lyndhurst there were three cars broken into on separate occasions. Handbags being the target.
Theft of a Motor Vehicle
Three vehicles were broken into at Andrew Mares Car Park .Hand Bags were stolen.
In Silver Street Lyndhurst a tradesman had his chain saw stolen from the back of his lorry.
Also a car was broken into in the Happy Cheese car park. This again being a hand bag.
At Foxlease in Lyndhurst a Ifor Williams Trailer was stolen along with power tools.
Theft
There was an external Mail Box stolen from a House in Ashurst.
Two offenders stole two cases of Stella from Threshers in the High Street Lyndhurst.
Also Youths stole items from the Antique Centre in the High Street.
