Professor Keith Barber resigned as a parish councillor on Thursday 20 March 2008. This was because of his involvement in the bypass issue.
His property looks over to the inner link road proposed by Hampshire County Council and he therefore would have had a prejudicial interest under The Local Authorities (Model Code of Conduct) Order 2007 No. 1159, which would have limited what he could say in opposition to this proposal.
He will now campaign against it in his capacity as President of the Residents' Association. |
