Over 100 friends, staff and supporters of Fenwick2 attended the F2 Summer Barbeque on Saturday June 26th and helped to raise over £1200 for the centre’s dementia hardship fund.
Cllr. Pat Wyeth, Chairman of New Forest District Council, Julian Lewis, MP for New Forest East and Cllr. Maureen Holding, NFDC Portfolio Holder for Employment, Health and Well-being, were among those attending.
The barbeque and fun day took place at the Fenwick2 Health and Well-being Centre, Pike’s Hill, Lyndhurst and the sun shone throughout the day.
Music was provided by singers Lucas Raye and Kim Summers-Crook and the cream teas, face painting, local beers, bouncy castle, hog roast and stalls were a big hit.
Funds raised will be used to support the SCA Fenwick2 Hardship Fund for dementia sufferers. Fenwick2 already runs a multi-agency early assessment project for people with dementia and plans to start an exciting new respite project for dementia sufferers and their carers in September.
