If you were born on the same day as The Queen, then you have a chance of celebrating your 80th birthday with Her Majesty at Buckingham Palace, next year.

The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh are hosting a reception and lunch at Buckingham Palace for some of those who will join The Queen in celebrating their 80th birthday on 21 April 2006.

The Queen is keen to achieve the fairest possible spread throughout the country and so ballots will be held in each area.

All applicants will be required to include a copy of their birth certificate so that eligibility can be verified.

If you are 80 on the same day as The Queen or if you know someone who is, then contact Helen Saunders, the chairman of NFDC’s personal assistant, before Christmas, for more information - telephone 023 8028 5479.
