| Your health, your care, your
say about the NHS |
The Department of Health recognises that not all health
and social care services are sufficiently meeting people’s
needs so they are currently undertaking a major public engagement
exercise to help shape services for the 21 century.
The consultation is focusing on what people want from community
health and social care in their day-to-day lives – this
includes things like your GP, family planning services, direct
payments or directly provided services – and will contribute
to the development of a White Paper aimed at improving community
health and care services.
As Hampshire County Council’s Adult Services Department
provides social care to the community they are particularly interested
in ensuring as many people as possible give their views and would
like to encourage all staff and residents to take part.
Ensure you have your say on the future of health and social
care services by taking a few minutes to complete the online
survey.
The Department of Heath is also encouraging local organisations
to get involved in the consultation by running their own listening
events. A
resource pack is available which includes advice on organising
an event and arranging publicity. You will need to register online
first before you can access the information.
The closing date for responses to the survey and the listening
events is 18th November 2005. |
