Police are appealing for information after a woman discovered a man breaking into her mother’s home in Minstead, near Lyndhurst.
The woman let herself into the property at approximately 10am on Wednesday, September 17. When she entered the kitchen she found a window was smashed.
Through the window the woman saw a man in the conservatory.
She ran back outside the house through the front door and called the police.
The woman saw the man leave the address and walk away towards the A31.
The woman’s mother was not at home at the time of the incident.
Some items of jewellery have been discovered missing from the address since the incident.
The man is described as:
- White
- 5ft 10ins to 6ft tall
- Medium build
- Wispy fair hair and partially bald
- Late 20s to early 30s
- Wearing a dark brown hip length winter jacket, dark blue jeans and dark shoes or boots.
