| Picnic to the sounds of Swing as the Pete Weston Swing Band brings alive the picturesque gardens of Appletree Court, Lyndhurst on Sunday 16 August to help raise funds for local charities.
Swing into summer is being hosted by New Forest Chairman Cllr Les Puttock and aims to raise funds for his chosen charities for the year-Simon Says and The Stroke Association.
The Fenwick2 Hospital in Lyndhurst will also benefit from the proceeds.
The picnic, a great afternoon to share with the whole family and friends, is being held from 2pm-6pm and will also feature an Abba sing-along with the Four Seasons Singers, led by Miss Terry Scott.
Guests are invited to bring their own picnics; refreshments and pastries will be available to purchase.
Cllr Puttock said:
“I hope people will come along to my charity event for what promises to be a wonderful, fun afternoon.
I want to bring the council closer to the people, and the people closer to the council during my civic year so what better place to host this special event than at the council’s headquarters at Appletree Court.”
Tickets are priced at £8 for adults and £4 for children, and can be purchased from the council’s main reception at Appletree Court, Lyndhurst or by calling 023 8028 5450. |
