Many of you came to our local history exhibition at Emery Down Village Hall last November.
Despite terrible weather there was a real buzz of interest all weekend. People came from Norfolk and Brighton; one brave lady came by taxi with her oxygen cylinder.
The interest and enthusiasm were overwhelming. If you were unable to join us or would like another look there will be a further exhibition of photographs and written materials at New Forest Centre in Lyndhurst Car Park from Saturday April 17 to Sunday June 6.
It is in the upper gallery but there is a lift.
We haven’t forgotten!!
Several people kindly offered to talk to us about their local memories and show us their photographs.
We haven’t forgotten you.
We are looking forward to meeting you again. We will be writing to you shortly with arrangements for tea and a talk and plans for regular local history meetings in the autumn, open to all.
Did you know the idea of a local history project which became How We Used to Live came from the Alice project?
