Police appeal after burglary in Lyndhurst

Police are appealing for witnesses or information following a burglary in Lyndhurst. 

 

Police were called to an address in Chapel Lane just before 1pm today, Monday, April 4.

 

A teenage girl returned to the family home at around 12.30pm where she disturbed an intruder.  He forced the girl to lie on a bed where he tied her hands and then left the property.  The girl was shocked and disturbed by the incident but was otherwise unharmed.

 

He is described as:

  • White
  • Aged 40 to 50 years old
  • Thin build
  • Short receding grey hair
  • He was wearing a loose fitting blue jacket, possibly a shell suit top and blue jeans.

 

He made off on foot from the premises with some jewellery, a mobile phone and a small amount of cash.

 

Chapel Lane is a busy road in Lyndhurst with a constant flow of passing motorists and pedestrians.  Investigating officers are appealing for anyone who was in the Chapel Lane/Sandy Lane area immediately before or after the incident who may have seen this man to contact them.
