We are a vibrant and approachable Parish Council situated in the "capital" of the New Forest - one of the most beautiful parts of Great Britain.

The village of Lyndhurst has excellent shopping facilities that cater for day to day needs as well as the frequent tourists who visit the region. We have three churches, a newly and beautifully refurbished infant school, numerous public houses, hotels and restaurants to suit all tastes.

The village is home to New Forest District Council, the Forestry Commission and the Verderers' Court. It has a vibrant Community Centre and Museum, both conveniently situated in the car park.

Planning information with links to the New Forest National Park Authority can also be accessed from this website.

For the sporting enthusiast there is an 18-hole golf course and we are

surrounded by miles of open forest land for the peaceful enjoyment of walkers, horse riders and cyclists (Countryside Codes permitting).

If you would like to have an event published in the Online Village Diary, please do not hesitate to contact the Web team.
